Dr. Baker-Porazinski is an experienced family medicine practitioner whose focus is on understanding the whole person seeking care. Careful listening allows for a real connection to develop, which she believes is an essential component to healing. Dr. Baker-Porazinski has more than 20 years of experience in a primary care setting as a family doctor to patients of all ages. She delivered comprehensive healthcare, including acute treatment, chronic disease management, and prevention. Dr. Baker-Porazinski also held many diverse roles in her position as a general practitioner, including: acupuncturist, school physician, nursing home doctor, and lead physician.
She joins Canyon Ranch, Lenox, MA to support the Health & Performance team. Her experience with both traditional and complimentary medicine—as well as her training in yoga, mindfulness-based stress reduction, and her meditation and writing practices— allows her to offer guests a wide range of health and wellness services to not just treat acute illness, but to also lower stress and align mind, body, and spirit.
In her downtime, Dr. Baker-Porazinski can often be found with family somewhere outdoors either hiking, biking, sailing, kayaking, birdwatching, or camping. She is also passionate about writing, yoga, and meditation. An avid reader, she loves to write down words of wisdom. A favorite is one by Alan Cohen: “The road to healing begins not with a blind leap outward, but a gentle step inward.”
