Leah's journey in outdoor sports began in the late 1990s when she served as a facilitator and rock climbing guide with the Outdoor Wisconsin Leadership School.
Over the years, she's embarked on numerous adventures – including leading Pacific Challenge trips to New Zealand and Australia and summers living and working in nature on the Homer Spit in Alaska. She served as the Adventure Education Director at Camp Minikani before joining the Canyon Ranch team in New England, where she's held various roles over the past two decades, culminating in her current position as Outdoor Sports Manager.
One of Leah's favorite parts of the job is the unique, enriching experiences that Canyon Ranch fosters for both guests and staff alike. Once, after looking up the author of the children's book she read to her sons one night, she came to work the next morning and the author was in her advanced hike. They spent the day discussing his art and books.
Outside of work, Leah enjoys traveling, reading, and spending time with her husband and two sons, often found cheering them on from the bleachers or running the concession stand at their sporting events. She also finds solace in walking her dog and activities like swimming in local lakes and stand-up paddleboarding.
