Communication and connection drives Melissa and is how she gets to know resort guests to successfully create individualized exercise programs that suit their needs, mindsets, bodies, and lifestyle. To accomplish goals for physical fitness and wellness, plans must be approachable and personalized. “No two people are alike,” she explains. “To help guests continue their health journeys after they leave us, we need to be understanding and conscientious with a good, solid, and doable program for their continued success — and make this fun for them!”

When not working with our Fitness & Movement team at Canyon Ranch, Melissa can be found refinishing old and unwanted furniture. She also loves to spend quality time with her two adult children, their spouses, and her husband of 41 years. Her words to live by? “Do not beat yourself up! We are all different! Set obtainable goals and do the best you can. And remember to start each day with a fresh perspective, smile, and with the mindset to go slay your day!!”
