The Healing Path Retreat

Kathleen Parrish, MAMFC, MARE, LPC, is a licensed professional counselor and the owner and operator of KP Counseling and Consulting. She served as senior director of Clinical Operations and Community Outreach at Cottonwood Tucson for nearly two decades. Kathleen’s work with trauma survivors spans over 25 years, and includes EMDR, narrative therapy, and mindfulness practices. She's an EMDRIA-certified therapist and provides attachment-focused EMDR to address complex developmental trauma.
Additionally, Kathleen is an approved clinical supervisor for the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners, and has published articles for Counselor, Addiction Professional, Addiction Today, and Arizona Together. She's the co-author of The Essence of Resilience: Stories of Triumph over Trauma, and has made several television guest appearances on Dr. Phil and Intervention. She's a frequent speaker at conferences in the United States and Europe.
Tom McDermitt, BA, AAC, PAC I, RAE, currently works at one of the top substance use disorder treatment centers in the country. With over 21-years of experience in the field, Tom works with individuals and families suffering with addiction and mental health conditions.
Tom is a person in long term recovery and has been sober since 1995. Through his personal struggles and journey into recovery, Tom has been able apply what he has learned into his life and share it with others.
Before working in the field of treatment, Tom worked in the airline industry for 17-years doing project management and team building. These years in the corporate world allowed for a different view of management as he moved into the treatment world. He applies the experience in the airline industry to find the best approaches and solutions when problems arise while working to offer treatment solutions.
Tom is a certified associate addiction counselor and has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Ashford University.

Adam can guide you in cultivating purpose, living with loss, emotional eating, and enjoying a more contemplative way of life. He uses evidence-based practices and continually witnesses how spiritual practices can deepen the meaning of your meals, strengthen the connection to your body and food, and help you communicate better.

Rachael Gallagher M, MDiv, is a transformational wellness expert at Canyon Ranch Tucson in Arizona. She offers spiritual consultations, individual sessions, and leads workshops and presentations designed to guide resort guests through life’s transitions and foster self-healing.
