2:30-6:30 p.m. Fantasy Island Ride
Enjoy a loop ride through mountain bike fun park Fantasy Island in Tucson. The area consists of persistent twisting single track, plunging downhills, bermed and banked turns, in a stunning Sonoran Desert setting with beautiful views of the Rincon Catalina and Santa Rita Mountains.
7-8:30 p.m. Private Group Dinner
Friday, October 25
7:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Mackenzie Ranch, Hohokam, and Arizona Trail
This one-way ride showcases three unique trails, and a dirt road section connecting trails.
Mackenzie Ranch is a purpose-built mountain bike race track with a flowing easy single track. The next segment, Hohokam, is an easy five-minute climb and beautiful desert single track. Next, a 15-minute connector dirt road to the Arizona Trail and our first challenge – a half-hour, rugged climb to a summit point. From there, it's a spirited downhill descent to lunch at the Posta Quemada Ranch.
After lunch, we'll have one of the most enjoyable sections of single track in the area: the AZ Trail to the finale. Big Mountain views abound in all directions.
3-4pm – Canyon Ranch Guide to Optimal Recovery with Brendan Murray and Mike Siemens
Our Sports Medicine and Performance Science experts discuss top tips for post-workout recovery and managing joint/muscle pain.
Saturday, October 26
7:30am-12:30 p.m. Bigwash Badlands
This loop ride is in the foothills of the Tortolita mountains, a popular mountain bike location for all levels with easy flowing single track. Move gradually uphill the first half of the ride and spend the second half on a spirited and gradual downhill.
3-4pm – Nutrition to Fuel Your Performance with Eric Williamson
Learn what foods, amounts of foods, and fueling strategies support optimal exercise performance. This presentation will cover foundations of performance nutrition and ideas to personalize the recommendations to individual preferences and goals.
5:30-9 p.m. Moonlight Ride with Dinner
This 10-mile, Level 3 ride include 270 feet of elevation and 55 minutes of ride time. Enjoy fun and safety while riding under the light of the moon. The Arizona Trail is beautifully contoured and wide in a lush desert setting. This will be an out-and-back ride with the care and communication necessary of a night ride, including bike lights for visibility.
Sunday, October 27
7 a.m.-2 p.m. Old Pueblo 24-Hour Course
This 17-mile, Level 4 loop hosts the nationally recognized 24 Hours In The Old Pueblo mountain bike race held every February. We'll do a lap of the course – covering a 740-foot rise and over an hour of drive time. The course is characterized by many rolling hills and sweet Sonoran single track.
The ride will be run as a poker run for fun: Cards will be dealt at each of the five stops with a two card draw at the end – the best hand wins. Lunch will be served trailside.
3-4:30pm – Bike Mechanic Skills
This hands-on class led by a professional bike mechanic is tailored to your interests and will cover essential and advanced bike maintenance techniques for the home mechanic. Learn what matters most to you in bike maintenance and repair.
Monday, October 28
7-9 a.m. Sabino Spin
Enjoy a 13-mile road ride up through the spectacular Sabino Canyon. Take in the sound of the rustling cottonwood leaves while you meander over bridges and through a vibrant riparian corridor. This three-hour Level 3 bike ride climbs 850 feet to lovely views at the end of the road – with an enjoyable downhill cruise back as your reward.
