Embodiment

The ability to take your body’s cues and feel into your desires, rather than “thinking” your way through everything. A good step here is to get into the practice of full body-scan meditations, where you practice quieting your mind, and dropping into your body’s felt sense of calm and presence.  

Self-Knowledge

Knowing what turns you on sexually, and on a deeper level, the kind of sex you like to have. A solid first step here would be to start paying attention to your sexual fantasies, especially when you pleasure yourself. Take note of any themes that tend to recur.   

Self-Acceptance

Being at peace with your body, your personality, you as a person. I love recommending mirror affirmations to people to start this journey, to get you in the habit of positive self-talk.

Collaboration

Simply put, playing well with others in bed! Do you pay attention to their cues? Do you work together so that everyone experiences the most pleasure? Here, I would recommend any practice that improves your communication skills, such as active listening. This will absolutely translate to the bedroom, by teaching you how to emotionally attune to someone, feel into their desires, get more comfortable expressing yours, and achieve erotic collaboration.
