Peach Amaretto Sorbet
Ingredients
Simple Syrup
1 1/2cups cane sugar
1 1/2cups water
2/3 cup Amaretto liqueur
2/3 cup water
3 Tbsp fresh lemon juice
4 cups fresh or frozen peaches, sliced and peeled
Instructions
To make Simple Syrup, bring sugar and water to a boil and simmer until sugar dissolves. Set aside.
In a large saucepan, bring amaretto, water, lemon juice and peaches to a boil. Continue boiling for 5 minutes to cook off alcohol. Cool and puree in a blender container until smooth.
Combine peach mixture with simple syrup. Place in a homemade ice cream freezer and follow the directions to freeze the sorbet.
